About Us

History

Georgia Tyson founded A T.L.C. Preschool & Extended Care, Inc. in 1978 with the help of her daughter, Jayne Tyson Davilla.

Today, Paula Walkup serves as the school’s president and director. Paula has taught at A.T.L.C since 1989.

A T.L.C. Preschool & Extended Care, Inc. is extremely proud of our teachers and staff. We have a very low teacher turn over and many of our staff are former students and/or parents of students who have attended our programs. We are honored so many of our graduates go on to choose A T.L.C. Preschool & Extended Care, Inc. to care for their children and grandchildren.

Values & Teaching Philosophy

The main goal of the preschool is to help your child develop a positive self-image. Good self-esteem is the key to successful living; each child is encouraged in learning how to follow directions, in order that the child will be better prepared for kindergarten. Our coordinated, planned program is designated to develop the child’s interest in learning at an early age.

School Objectives

To teach a semi-structured program enhanced by activities according to the season. Directed activites include: story time, finger games, nature and science study, arts and crafts, singing, self-esteem building exercises and concepts.
